For purchases you made via a promotional code or discount, you can only exchange the item for the same style in a different size or color.

Items must be in their original condition; Old Navy won’t accept used, washed, or worn items. However, you can return or exchange damaged or defective items at any time.

You can get a full refund for up to one year if you are unsatisfied with the quality of men’s, women’s, boy’s, and girl’s uniform styles purchased online and in stores from July 7, 2023, 12:01 a.m. ET to September 30, 2023, 11:59 p.m. ET.

This policy applies to the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Canada for purchases at Old Navy, Old Navy Outlet stores, and online.

3. Get your drop-off QR code.

4. Once you complete the online form, you will receive your Express Returns drop-off QR code in your Return Confirmation email.

5. Drop off your unpackaged, label-free items at the nearest Express Returns location. 

6. If you drop off at a Staples store, go directly to the Print & Ship center.

7. Show the associate your drop-off QR code and hand them your items.

8. You’ll receive a confirmation email once Old Navy receives your return.

Can You Return or Exchange a Gift to Old Navy?

Old Navy will refund returned gifts via an Options gift card for the original price.

You can use Options gift cards in-store and online at GAP, Banana Republic, Old Navy, and Athleta. Gift returns and exchanges are free when you use Old Navy’s prepaid return shipping label.

You can also return Old Navy gift cards; Old Navy will credit the value via the original form of payment.

You must return gifts to the same brand.

For example, if you received a gift from GAP, you can only return it to a GAP retail store, not an Old Navy store.

4. The store will refund the value of the gift via a gift card.

If you don’t have a gift receipt, you’ll receive merchandise credit equal to the item’s current selling price.

How To Return a Gift By Mail

To return a gift by mail, follow these steps:
